Judges&Crew

No race runs without people on the floor. We need 12 judges and volunteers to see the whole day through with us, from setup in the morning to the awards.

12judges
20people on the crew
100athletes
3workouts in one day

Roles

Pick your spot.

Judges stand right next to the athlete. The crew keeps the race moving so athletes can focus on the work. We need both just as much.

12 spots

Judge

You stand by the athlete, count and hold the standard.

  • Count reps, metres and calories at your station
  • Call a no-rep on the spot and say why
  • Confirm the score out loud and write it on the scorecard

Who it's for: you train HYROX or functional fitness and you're not afraid to call a no-rep. No course needed, the head judge will take you through the standards.

Volunteers

Crew

You keep the race running so athletes can just work.

  • Check-in, bib numbers and heat lists
  • Call-ups and transitions between stations
  • Resetting weights and changeovers between workouts
  • Setup in the morning, pack-down after the awards

Who it's for: no race experience needed. Just be reliable and keen to be part of it.

Preparation

You won't go in blind.

Standards in advance

Before the event you get the standards for every movement plus a demo video.

Briefing with the head judge

In the morning we go through no-reps, scorecards and transitions. Everyone knows where they stand and what to do.

One standard for everyone

A central signal runs start and stop. Judges apply the same rules in every lane.

FAQ

Before you sign up

Do I need a judge course?

No. It helps if you train HYROX or functional fitness and know the movements. The head judge will go through the standards with you before the event.

Can I help for part of the day?

For crew, yes, just say so in the note. Judges ideally stay all day, because in W1 and W3 everyone works at once.

Can I compete and help?

No. Athletes do all three workouts across the day and need the time in between to get ready.

Who do I contact?
